Selecting which OPeNDAP client to install
You can access OPeNDAP data in several ways. The data analysis and visualization software you use will determine the type of OPeNDAP client software you will need to download.
Take a look at our complete list of available OPeNDAP clients. If the data analysis and visualization package is listed, it should be easy to get setup with OPeNDAP. If not, it may require more work.
- For a "OPeNDAP-ready Application", simply download the appropriate OPeNDAP client and follow the installation instructions, except for Ferret which comes with OPeNDAP already built-in.
- Other applications will require relinking with one of the OPeNDAP client libraries.
- If your application does not use one of the APIs of the available OPeNDAP client libraries, it will require use of the OPeNDAP core library. Please contact us at support@unidata.ucar.edu.
