OPeNDAP Presentations

Workshops/Presentations

OPeNDAP Workshops at APAC and the Australian BOM, Oct. 2007. Presentations and other materials from the Australian Partnership for Advanced Computing (APAC) and Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) OPeNDAP Workshops. These workshops focused on system administrator's and software developer's tasks and the Hyrax data server. We also presented information on clients and developer's tools for clients.
OPeNDAP Developer's Workshop, Feb 2007. Presentations by OPeNDAP and developers and users from many different organizations.
Poster/Handout: Building a High Performance Data Server for the DAP Using Existing Software presented at the Winter 2007 ESIP meeting in Portland Oregon.
This is similar to the poster presented at the AGU meeting a few weeks earlier. However, the format is slightly different and the poster prints to regular paper a little more cleanly. Also available as a PDF file.
Using Community-Driven Metadata Conventions with On-Line Data presented at the Fall 2006 AGU meeting.
This talk is split between observations about community-based metadata standards and a discussion of Server4's features. The features were chosen in part to strengthen the server's support for those types of standards and conventions.
Poster: "OPeNDAP’s Server4: Building a High Performance Data Server for the DAP Using Existing Software" From the Fall 2006 AGU meeting in San Francisco.
This poster describes the design of OPeNDAP's new Data Server. This is the powerpoint file used to make the poster, so it's large. However, it will print well, so it's worth a look if you missed the meeting. The same poster is available as a PDF file.
Presentations for the OPeNDAP Data Discovery Workshop held at UCAR, 15-16 May 2006.
This page holds presentations (PowerPoint and PDF files) given at the workshop, along with use cases written as a result of discussions. Also included is a report. Under constructions as of 30 May 2006.
Presentations for the OPeNDAP/NOAA-PMEL Workshop held at the Stennis Space Center, 29-31 September 2004.
These PowerPoint slides cover the ODC, Matlab client, Server installation (including configuration of the Aggregation server developed by Unidata), construction of THREDDS catalogs, Using Ferret, What is FDS and setup of LAS. In addition, the workshop started with an overview of OPeNDAP and the evolution of networked data systems for science.
