We refer to a system that makes use of two different data access protocols as a two tier system.


LAS and LAS-Lite are examples of two-teir heirarchies. They make use

• of html at the user site to solicit input from the user and to return results to him or her, and
  
  
• of DODS to move the data from data server sites to intermediate processor sites.
