This directory contains the binary distributions of the latest DODS beta release (version 3.1.x) for Sun SPARC Solaris machines. ------------------------------ Binary Distribution ----- The binary distribution is split into a number of seperate components. Download the components appropriate for your needs as well as any required components. Here are the files available with descriptions of the component and notes on requirements. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-dap-library-3.1.2.tar.gz --> the DODS DAP (Data Access Protocol). This component is required for relinking programs with DODS. That is, if you will be using the JGOFS or netCDF client libraries to relink applications. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-packages-3.1.1.tar.gz --> the third party software used by the DODS core. This component is required by the DODS DAP component. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-client-tools-3.1.2.tar.gz --> a set of tools for DODS clients. Required by all clients. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-server-tools-3.1.2.tar.gz --> a set of tools for DODS servers. Required by all servers. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-ff-server-3.1.3.tar.gz --> the DODS FreeForm server. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-hdf-server-3.1.2.tar.gz --> the DODS HDF-EOS server. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-idl-cmdln-3.1.1.tar.gz --> the DODS IDL command line tool. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-jg-client-3.1.1.tar.gz --> an example DODS JGOFS client (list). DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-jg-library-3.1.1.tar.gz --> the DODS JGOFS client library. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-jg-server-3.1.1.tar.gz --> the DODS JGOFS server. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-matlab-server-3.1.1.tar.gz --> the DODS Matlab server. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-ml-cmdln-3.1.1.tar.gz --> the DODS Matlab command-line client. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-ml-gui-3.1.20.tar.gz --> the DODS Matlab GUI. DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-nc-client-3.1.1.tar.gz --> example DODS netCDF client(s). DODS-sparc-sun-solaris2.6-nc-library-3.1.1.tar.gz --> the DODS netCDF client library. For any support questions, please contact support@unidata.ucar.edu ------------------------------ Note: Third-party packages: This code includes the www library from the W3C (libwww), the Tcl/Tk libraries, a regular expression library (librx), and libz. (Depending on what you are building, other third party software may be required. For instance, HDF is required to build the DODS HDF server.) The libwww, librx, and libz libraries are required by DODS. The Tcl/Tk libraries are used to provide a GUI for error messages and are optional.
